    <link>https://g8-council-louisiana.amstest.info/FaithInAction/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/9658/Spiritual-Reflection-Program</link>
<description>Create annual opportunities for prayer and reflection together as a fraternity. Under the guidance of their chaplain, councils can attend a retreat or day of reflection together or organize their own event for the men of their parish. In conjunction with pastors, councils and jurisdictions can hold low-cost retreats of their own. These events might be open only to council members or men of the parish &amp;ndash; or may be open to entire families. If councils are unable to organize these events themselves, they could go attend an existing retreat as a group. For Spiritual Reflection program resources, visit www.kofc.org/reflection.

<description>The Knights of Columbus Rosary Program encourages councils to promote devotion to the rosary in our families and parishes by scheduling regular rosary prayer services on any day of the week, at any time of the year, with the guidance of their pastor. Councils should personally invite each family of the parish and offer attending families a copy of the Knights of Columbus Catholic Information Service&amp;rsquo;s A Scriptural Rosary for the Family (#319). Encourage families to read this booklet and learn how their faith can be strengthened through a devotion to Our Lady, while praying the rosary at home together regularly. Kits with rosary rings, rosary prayer guides, and leader books are available for councils to order. <description>Into the Breach is a call to battle for men which urges them to embrace masculine virtues in a world at crisis. The original Into the Breach video series, inspired by the apostolic exhortation of Bishop Thomas J. Olmstead, outlines the challenges faced by men of faith in the world today. The new Into the Breach: The Mission of the Family video series presents the Catholic vision of family life and inspires them to incorporate it into daily life. By viewing and discussing these inspirational series, and using their accompanying study guides, participants will be equipped with the wisdom and practical tools they need to better lead themselves and their families in living out the Faith. <title>Eucharistic Procession Resources</title>
    <link>https://g8-council-louisiana.amstest.info/FaithInAction/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/9663/Eucharistic-Procession-Resources</link>
<description>A Eucharistic Procession, just like Eucharistic Adoration, is an extension of the worship of Jesus Christ, truly present in the Blessed Sacrament. The supreme act of adoration and the source and summit of the Christian life is the celebration of the Mass, and that celebration is prolonged and intensified through Eucharistic worship outside of the Mass. In Eucharistic Processions, the missionary aspect of the Eucharist is emphasized as we go forth into the world. Not only gazing upon our Eucharistic Lord, but walking with him, we experience what the disciples did 2000 years ago as they walked with Jesus, proclaiming the Good News to the world.

A parish community that undertakes a Eucharistic Procession has made the decision to publicly proclaim its belief in Jesus&amp;rsquo; True Presence in the Eucharist. By this public witness of faith, the parish invites people in the community to encounter the Risen Lord present in the Eucharistic Host. For those who participate in the procession, it is an opportunity not only to proclaim their faith but also to grow in their faith. The procession is, finally, an invitation to Jesus himself to be a part of our daily lives, to be immersed in the world in which we live.

    <title>Holy Hour Resources</title>
    <link>https://g8-council-louisiana.amstest.info/FaithInAction/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/9664/Holy-Hour-Resources</link>
<description>Encourage deep personal encounters with Christ through Eucharistic adoration in the form of Holy Hours and Eucharistic Processions. As Catholics, we believe in the Real Presence: that Jesus Christ is truly present &amp;ndash; body, blood, soul, and divinity &amp;ndash; in the Eucharist. As such, we are compelled to grow in our devotion to Jesus in the Eucharist and to share His presence with the world. Holy Hours feature the exposition and benediction of the Blessed Sacrament and can also include a reflection, communal rosary, prayers for intercession by Blessed Michael McGivney or St. Joseph, and other devotions as decided by the council and pastor. Eucharistic Processions provide an opportunity to walk with the Blessed Sacrament through your community, bringing Jesus to everyone along the route. For Holy Hour program resources, visit kofc.org/holyhour. For additional Eucharistic Procession resources, visit kofc.org/eucharist

<description>By making the Building the Domestic Church Kiosk (#BDC-K) available in your parish and organizing activities based on its content, councils will educate and evangelize using the rich, faith-based literature found in the Catholic Information Service (CIS) Building the Domestic Church series of booklets. Since 1948, CIS has been the major evangelical arm of the Knights of Columbus.

Through multiple booklet series and various media formats, CIS makes our Catholic faith accessible and continually provides tools for catechesis and faith formation. For $150, councils will receive a Building the Domestic Church Kiosk (#BDC-K) and the first set of 225 booklets of the most popular CIS resources, aimed at helping Catholics to live out the Church&amp;rsquo;s vision for our families.

    <link>https://g8-council-louisiana.amstest.info/FaithInAction/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/9666/Home-Enthronement-Resources</link>
<description>In conjunction with the Sacred Heart Holy Hour, Knights and their families are encouraged to enthrone the Sacred Heart of Jesus in their homes using the enthronement resources mentioned in the program. Families can use the ceremony of enthronement to dedicate themselves and their homes to the Sacred Heart, which is based on a version widely promoted in the early 20th century through the work of Father Mateo Crawley-Boevey, SS.CC., who emphasized the role of enthronement in fostering a Christ-centered family life. Through the enthronement ceremony, families recognize Christ&amp;rsquo;s rule over their lives.

They do this by placing an image of his Sacred Heart in a place of honor in their homes, renewing their commitment to be faithful disciples, and consecrating themselves to it. By enthroning the Sacred Heart, families commit to living according to Christ&amp;rsquo;s teachings and embrace a way of life rooted in his love, mercy, and blessings.

    <link>https://g8-council-louisiana.amstest.info/FaithInAction/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/9667/Pilgrim-Icon-Program</link>
<description>Overview Every few years, the Knights of Columbus select a Catholic icon featuring an image that is particularly edifying to Knights and their communities. Each jurisdiction receives one or several of these icons which travel from council to council and serve as the centerpieces for prayer services in parishes throughout the Order. The current icon in circulation depicts the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. It is the aim of this program to continue to foster greater devotion to the Sacred Heart among Knights and their communities. More than 191,000 council and parish prayer services with some 23 million participants have been held since the first traveling pilgrim icon of Our Lady of Guadalupe in 1979. <title>Bishop Charles P. Greco Memorial Foundation</title>
    <link>https://g8-council-louisiana.amstest.info/FaithInAction/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/9677/Bishop-Charles-P-Greco-Memorial-Foundation</link>
<description> The Greco Fund is a Louisiana program that honors our dead and supports our seminarians. The Greco Fund is managed by the Bishop Charles P. Greco Foundation. The Bishop Greco Memorial Foundation is a 501 (C)(3) non-proft organization, and donations are tax deductible (but please consult with your tax advisor). The Foundation was named after our former State and Supreme Chaplain, Bishop Charles P. Greco. The program is open to anyone - not just Knights of Columbus. How does the program work? The donor (you) requests a set of cards from Past State Deputy Steve Thomas, Treasurer of the Foundation. A set includes two cards and two envelopes: (1) a large memorial card that you complete with the name of the deceased and send to the deceased&amp;#39;s family; and (2) a smaller card that you complete and send to Steve Thomas, along with your donation. $25 is requested but any amount is accepted. Steve Thomas deposits the donation with the Greco Fund, and he forwards the smaller card to our State Chaplain or his designee who celebrates Mass in honor of the deceased. Where does the money go? The donations are safely invested and the principal amount grows with interest. As of June 30, 2025&amp;nbsp;the corpus of Greco Fund is $1.42&amp;nbsp;Million plus. The amount to be disbursed to the seminarians each year depends upon how much the Fund grew and how many seminarians are eligible to receive a disbursement. Thus, market fluctuations, changing interest, and the number of seminarians result in different distributions each year. To ensure the longevity of the Fund and the program, the principal&amp;nbsp;amount (the corpus) is not disbursed - just the interest. Each year the Greco Foundation contacts the Bishop in each of the seven Louisiana dioceses and requests the names and addresses of each seminarian who will serve a diocese in Louisiana after being ordained. After determining the total amount of money available for disbursement, the Foundation sends a check to each of those seminarians. The Greco Fund helps to supplement the support that seminarians receive directly from the local councils and assemblies. The Bishop Charles P. Greco Foundation and Fund are managed by the Past State Deputies of Louisiana and the current State Officers of the Louisiana State Council. Past State Deputy James Riente is the President of the Foundation. For a set of cards or more information contact Past State Deputy Steve Thomas at&amp;nbsp;greco@louisianakc.org. &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; </description>

    <description>One Life, One Rose

Our Lady of Guadalupe 2025 Silver Rose Run

18th Anniversary Participation

A HIGHER PURPOSE

Share the message of Our Lady of Guadalupe and promote respect for life by participating in this meaningful pilgrimage. The Silver Rose program demonstrates the unity between Knights of Columbus in Canada, the United States and Mexico, through a series of prayer services promoting the dignity of all human life and honoring Our Lady.

OVERVIEW

Each year, from early March through mid-December, Silver Roses are stewarded by Knights of Columbus councils along routes from Canada to Mexico. Every stop the Silver Rose makes throughout the pilgrimage is a rosary-centered occasion for Knights, parishioners and community members to pray for respect for life, for the spiritual renewal of each nation, and for the advancement of the message of Our Lady of Guadalupe.

Check out the resources on Supreme&amp;#39;s website under the&amp;nbsp;Silver Rose Program.

Louisiana will receive the Silver Rose from Mississippi on October 19, 2025, and deliver it to Texas on November 16, 2025.

<description>The State Special Olympics Chairman is Brandon Hendricks.

History

The Special Olympics were started by Eunice Kennedy Shriver.

 Wife of Sargent Shriver
Sister of President John F. Kennedy
 Both were Knights of Columbus.
Her sister Rosemary had an intellectual disability, and there were limited programs for people like her sister. She wanted people with intellectual disabilities to have the same opportunity in life as everyone else.
The first International Special Olympics were held in Chicago in 1968.
 Eunice Kennedy Shriver&amp;#39;s Story
 Special Olympics History

General Information

There are 51 local Special Olympics programs in Louisiana. Councils are asked to donate to either their local Special Olympics programs and to volunteer at events.
Councils can also donate to Special Olympics Louisiana and volunteer at state events. The Special Olympics Louisiana website has a donate page and a calendar of events.
The State Summer Games take place in May at Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond.
Special Olympics Louisiana is divided into 9 areas, similar to the 7 diocese the state council is divided into.
Councils also need to report their activity to the Supreme Council by January 31 using Fraternal Program Report Form 10784.

Any brother knight can complete this form.

A council&amp;#39;s donation can also be counted as a contribution for Campaign for People with Intellectual Disabilities.
The Supreme Council donates money to State Special Olympics Programs based on the activity of these forms.
If a council donates $2000 or volunteers 200 hours, it qualifies for a featured program (counts for two programs for the Columbian Award).
 In 2021 - 2022:
The Order donated donated $3.7 million and volunteered 418,000 hours. (KnightLine, 8/29/2022 &amp;quot;Special Olympics Superfans)
Louisiana donated $13,532 and volunteered 3119 hours, #5 in the Order. (Supreme Director Rennan Duffour, 4/30/2022 Louisiana State Convention)
